TAC FINDER
Tactical Handheld Metal Detector
The TAC FINDER is a compact and highly durable metal detector. This hand-held probe is designed for situations that require heightened sensitivity and precision in locating metal objects. It's particularly useful in sectors such as corrections, forensic technology, forensic medicine, preliminary letter inspections, and theft prevention within the jewelry and precious metal industries.
As a Pulse Induction (PI) system, the TAC FINDER operates statically, meaning it does not regulate the vibration signal over the metal object but instead responds based on the size and proximity of that object. Its pinpoint detection capability and range for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, along with other metallic items, surpass those of similar devices. Thanks to its cylindrical probe, the TAC FINDER offers a comprehensive 360° search and effective range.
Once the device is powered on with the on/off button, it is instantly operational. With its digital automatic adjustment feature, no additional settings are necessary. A convenient belt holster allows for quick and easy mobility. The device can be powered by a standard 9-volt dry cell battery or a compatible Ni-MH or lithium battery. Additionally, the centered LED light at the cylinder tip illuminates dark or poorly lit areas, enhancing visibility.
Battery: Before operating the device, ensure that a battery is installed in the battery compartment. To access the battery compartment, twist the closure cap counterclockwise until it detaches. Insert the battery, aligning it with the contacts as marked inside the compartment. Before reattaching the closure cap, ensure that the threads are free from sand and dirt, and apply O-ring grease for lubrication. A continuously intermittent vibration signal indicates low battery voltage. To prevent battery leakage, switch off the detector and replace the battery. Remember to remove the battery if the device will be stored for an extended period.
Operation: Keep the TAC FINDER away from metal objects and power it on by pressing the ON/OFF button. Activation is signaled by a vibration alarm lasting approximately two seconds. During this time, the device will automatically calibrate to its surroundings. Once calibrated, positive detection of objects is indicated by vibration, with the intensity correlating to the size and depth of the hidden object. The second push button activates the integrated LED light at the probe tip, which remains on while the button is pressed. The TAC FINDER does not need to be powered on for this feature.
Cleaning: After use, clean the TAC FINDER with a soft cloth. If the environmental temperature changes, allow any condensation inside the battery compartment to ventilate. To avoid damage, do not use chemicals or solvents for cleaning.
